Bonney Hotel
Daniel Webster Highway (U.S. Rt. 3)
1787 - 1937

The Bonney's Hotel or Penacook House, a New England inn opened in 1787 by Captain John Chandler, operated as an inn until it was demolished in 1937. It was a wood-frame three-story structure with two chimneys and a double veranda across its front. The wide rooms had low ceilings and wainscotting. The floor plan followed an I-plan, with rooms on either side of the central entrance hall and staircase.
