Motion: The current officers will serve in the same positions for 2013. Passed

March 9 General Monthly Meeting:

  • Tentatively chaired by Brent and Ray
  • Agenda: share recent Board and Business Committee actions and plans; Rt 3. and tannery updates
  • Discuss testimony regarding the financing of Rt 3 Reconstruction

April 13 General Meeting:

  • Becky Hebert, City Planning, will present information about rezoning in Penacook

Tom Chapin Concert

  • Lincoln Financial grant request denied
  • New contract: $3,000 solo plus $280 for ground transportation and $120 for accommodations
  • Option to add two musicians
    • If available, for $600 each with $120 each for accommodations
    • If $1,500+ raised through sponsorships and advertising
  • Other costs
    • Programs [sponsor donations and ads should cover costs]
    • Posters [to be supplied by Chapin organization]
    • Refreshments
    • Table space in lobby for sponsor donations
      • Kathy to find out maximum table count
      • Tables also available for area farmers markets
    • Space for poster advertising
    • Updatable sign for PVA business members and other businesses
      • “PVA recommends shopping locally”
      • Business listings with ability to change focus/appearance

Motion: Approve the expenditure of $3,400 for a solo performance and process the signed contract and a deposit of $1,000. Passed

Strategic Planning: need to identify future projects and designate $25,000 received from Concord 20/20.

To involve citizens in enhancing the quality of life, protecting the historic character, and fostering economic vitality in Penacook Village.
