Attendees: Marge Goldman, Sumner Goldman, Wendy Follansbee, Liz Blanchard, Brent Todd, Deitz Heins, Warren Leary, Dianna Leary, Wesley Frost, Peter Dodge, Jennifer Kretovic, Lynne Raleigh, Ralph Harwood, Jessica Jessica Eshleman (guest speaker), Terry Culjat. Presentation “Re-Thinking Main Street ” by Concord 20/20’s Executive Director Jennifer Kretovic and Main Street Concord’s Executive Director Jessica Eshleman. Re-Thinking Main Street is a partnership in which Main Street Concord, Concord 2020, and the City of Concord are working to drive more economic activity, expand the tax base and bring greater balance to downtown Concord. Visit www.yourconcordtv.org for details. Discussion included the need to involve the community and take a common sense approach when applying similar efforts in Penacook.

Association Business:

Treasurer’s Report: Balance of $568.56

Farmers' Market:

  • Peter Dodge surveyed local merchants and found that there was a strong interest to participate during the farmers' market. Possibilities included tables in front of their stores and staying open later on market evenings.
  • Mike Cotton is drafting a letter to be sent to potential participants of the market. Fees were set at $10 per week or $25 for the full season. A committee was formed to address additional issues and planning to include Mike Cotton, Teri Maxwell, Jennifer Kretovic, Sumner and Marge Goldman, and Peter Dodge.

Next Meeting: April 10, 2010, at Rolfe House.
